Speeches at the Second Congress of the MAS

The Partido Socialista de los Trabajadores (Socialist Workers Party, PST) led by Nahuel Moreno, which had been banned since March 1976 and had operated underground for years, at the end of 1982 promoted the founding of the Movimiento Al Socialismo (Movement Towards Socialism, MAS), converging with a small sector of traditional socialism headed by Ruben Visconti from Rosario. In March 1985, during the government of the radical Alfonsin, the MAS held its second congress, on the eve of the world congress of the IWL–FI.
